About Us

We are a team of two families who like to treat our contractors as real people, even part of this "extended family".

We believe that GardPass Cyber has something more to offer candidates and clients than traditional recruitment agencies.
Why are we different? Read our "What drives us" page.

All our operational staff have BPSS clearance and receive regular Data Protection training.

Neil “Pass” – Director/Co-Founder
Highly-experienced consultant/architect/auditor with a primary focus on Cyber and Cloud Security. Has over 30 years’ IT experience, in the UK and globally, across the life-cycle: business development, pre-sales, solution architecture, development, testing (including ethical hacking), implementation, security assessments, metrics/KPIs and often acting as “trusted advisor” for clients.

Neil manages the growing business, while co-running a local businessmen’s networking group. He also provides occasional consultancy services including training.

In addition to promoting and working towards a more secure cyber world for businesses and consumers, Neil is a keen innovator and developer.

He is also passionate about trade justice and helping the developing world generally. He has led local groups such as “Drop the Debt” and Fair Trade campaigns. He is now a trustee of a UK/Kenyan charity supporting HIV orphans (in East Africa) and inspiring UK teenagers to make a difference.

In his “downtime”, Neil likes to travel, study linguistics, canoe, play tennis, run, cycle, climb mountains (occasionally), sing (most genres) and act in plays/musicals.

He is married and has two children at university.

Jim “Gard” – Director/Co-Founder
James is married with three adult children. He enjoys running marathons, fund-raising for charities, and is a keen Arsenal supporter.

He is also a professional property investor with investments in the UK and abroad.

Economics, current affairs, politics, travelling, and reading are areas of great interest to him.

Originally starting his early working life as a Metropolitan Police officer in London, James found a route into business. He comes from three generations of recruiters (his father was a top City head-hunter and his daughter is an IT recruiter in London) and with over 25 years recruitment experience, James is passionate about the recruitment world. He built and owned a highly successful IT contract and permanent recruitment company.

James leads the recruitment services. To complement this, he provides recruitment mentoring services and non-executive directorship.

Tom lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and outside of work they enjoy travelling, trekking and competitive games nights with friends and family.

Using his degree in Engineering Management, Emilio is able to bring new and competitive ideas to the table. He is motivated by success and enjoys trying to solve new challenges as well as improving existing ways of working.

Emilio loves to travel and learn about different cultures. He especially enjoys hiking and snorkelling. His friends describe him as always up for a new adventure.

His love for music has grown recently due to starting a new project of buying old guitars and revamping them.
